Survivor Art Exhibition Opening Reception

Healing is a journey and for some, that journey is taken through or with art. Where words may fail us, art has the magic of expressing even the most difficult topics. In recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, your regional survivor service agencies have partnered together to bring you a community art exhibit. Through this exhibit, survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking can share their stories and raise their voices through art.

Join us on March 21st from 5pm to 7pm for drinks and hors d'oeuvres as we premiere the art exhibit and experience the emotions, the pain, and the healing of local survivors as they express themselves through various artworks. The exhibit will then be on display through May 17th, 2025.

This exhibition is sponsored by Women in Leadership Great Lakes Bay Region and was organized by the follow agencies:

McDowell Healing Arts Center, Sexual Assault Center of Child and Family Services of Saginaw, Shelterhouse, Studio 23/The Arts Center, Bay Area Women’s Shelter, and Underground Railroad.
