AccessAbility

Studio 23 is proud to present AccessAbility, a collaborative exhibition featuring tactile, touchable, and multisensory artwork which highlights sensory experiences beyond vision alone. Through the artwork on display, we will be creating inclusion for an audience who may be overlooked in the visual and fine arts community due to limited sensory or physical abilities.

This exhibition also showcases artwork created by individuals with limited sensory or physical abilities, as well as artists who explore themes of accessibility, disability, and universal design, enlightening our audience about the limitations of creating or enjoying art while living with disabilities. Entries were accepted from local, state-wide, and national artists, reflecting the universal value of inclusion in the arts and providing a platform for the innovative exploration of the intersection between art and accessibility.

Studio 23 is devoted to supporting the Great Lakes Bay Region by providing a vibrant arts center dedicated to making the visual arts relevant and accessible to all. During this exhibition, we invite the viewer to consider new ways of creating, displaying, thinking about, and interacting with artwork in a traditional gallery setting.
